Good Evening Roosevelt Families,

As some of you may know, I grew up just outside of Washington, DC.  I was able to visit family and friends this summer and we visited the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial as part of our trip.  His vision and legacy continue to inspire me and so many of us.    One of the quotes that stood out to me at the memorial for Dr. King is “True peace is not merely the absence of tension, it is the presence of justice.”  This is what we mean at Roosevelt when we say “Peace One Day, Peace Everyday,” and what we are hoping our students will bring to our community and our world.

Positive Covid Cases on Campus Last Week

We did have four more cases come to our attention late in the week last week.  As always, this is an important opportunity to remind our students and ourselves to stay vigilant in our mask wearing and to get vaccinated / boosted.  

Resources to help sign up for testing:

Many parents have reached out about signing up for testing.  We would like to have as many students tested each week as possible.  Here are resources we shared at the beginning of the year:

PRIDE Awards 2021-2022
