- 225 National Merit Commended students in last six years, including 36 from the Class of 2022
- 22 AP Capstone Diploma recipients in 2021, a GCISD record
- 714 AP Scholar Award students in 2020, a GCISD record
- Four students advanced to DECA International Career Development Conference finals in 2021
- Two students earned special award recognition at Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in 2021

- Total tax rate has been reduced 12.16 cents in the last three years
- AA+ Standard & Poor's Global Rating, the highest rating offered to Texas school districts
- Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) each of the last 30 years
